The Birthday Jam began as an improvised rendition of Happy Birthday recorded by Justin Chapman in 2005 with Billy Currano on guitar, Justin on bass, and Evan Chapman on drums. It was done entirely in two takes, with one being chosen over the other as the final version. In 2010, Billy re-recorded the song, revising and playing the guitar and bass parts himself, with Evan once again on drums. This is the 2010 edition.
